Bienvenue à notre DATCHA Sibériens 🐾

DATCHA HOUSE
If you are still reading it might be because you are looking for a kitten or maybe just curious about the Siberian breed of cats. I will gladly share my knowledge about cat allergies and general info about how to properly care for a Siberian cat if you contact me. Although my Datcha is located in the lower Laurentians our kittens have been adopted by loving families as far as Oslo, Geneva, Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, Ottawa, Quebec City, Montreal, Cornwall, Lac St Jean, Vermont and NY. Wishing you a pleasant visit on our website. 🐾👀 Datcha Siberians is part of the voluntary responsible breeder program.  A heathly cat is very important to us and we ensure each cat and kitten follows the TICA (The International Cat Association) voluntary responsible breeder program.

L'origine du chat Sibérien

DATCHA SIBERIAN ORIGIN
Siberian cats are a Russian national treasure. They have been documented in Russia for hundreds of years and are mentioned in Russian fairy tales and children’s books. The breed also appears in Harrison Wier’s book Our Cats and All About Them, published in 1889. Russian families relay fond tales of their Siberians and their amazing loyalty and personalities, but these cats also have played a practical role on farms as rodent control. When the Cold War between the Soviet Union and the United States ended, the doors opened for the Siberian cat to be exported worldwide. The first Siberians arrived in the United States in June 1990. The Siberian was accepted for registration by CFA in February 2000.

In regards to allergies, we won’t sell a kitten as being a 100% non-allergenic.Research has proven that the Siberians are the most “hypoallergenic” breed of cats. That does not mean they are non-allergenic.”Hypo” means less and it’s because Siberians produce less of the proteins Feld1 (most likely the cause for allergy-reactions) that the Siberians can be tolerated by most people who are allergic to other breeds. Testing is always advised. Siberians can be tolerable to most people having allergies even severe reactions to other breeds of cats….but not everyone. Our Siberians have been carefully selected for their low Feld1 protein and for their friendly temperaments and beauty.
